Diabetes is a fairly common disease in which the body's natural ability to use the glucose from food is compromised, leading to build-up of glucose in the bloodstream.

DIABETES is a clinical syndrome characterised by hyperglycaemia due to deficiency or diminished effectiveness of Insulin. This disorder affects fat, carbohydrate, protein, water and electrolyte metabolism. This high blood sugar produces the classical symptoms of POLYURIA (frequent urination), POLYDIPSIA (increased thirst), and POLYPHAGIA (increased hunger).

Types Of Diabetes
There are three main types of diabetes mellitus (DM).
  • TYPE 1 DM : results from the body's failure to produce insulin, and currently requires the person to inject insulin or wear an insulin pump. This form was previously referred to as "insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus" (IDDM) or "juvenile diabetes".
  • TYPE 2 DM results from insulin resistance, a condition in which cells fail to use insulin properly, sometimes combined with an absolute insulin deficiency. This form was previously referred to as non insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) or "adult-onset diabetes".
  • The third main form, gestational diabetes, occurs when pregnant women without a previous diagnosis of diabetes develop a high blood glucose level. It may precede development of type 2 DM.

A NEW APPROACH - Freedom iClinics way……

By determining the causal imbalances at the basis of a disorder, a naturopathic evaluation strikes the root causes of diabetes which are at two levels - toxic buildups in the body due to the body toxins due to foods, liquids, lifestyle, stress and the mind due to Excessive tension, worry, anxiety & grief.

The PSYCHO SOMATIC understanding sheds new light on managing Diabetes.

“The sugar level in our blood relates to the amount of sweetness and love in our lives and also to the opposite, anger and sourness.”

Diabetes indicates that when love is uncontrollable and excessive, it is smothering or overwhelming. This overwhelming phenomenon reflects as excess urine which is unusable and is constantly being eliminated in the urine. Also in cases of sense of loss and inner sadness, there is a great desire for affection and love which is never received. This give rise to anger and resentment, a blaming of others for our own inner fear and confusion in dealing with love.

Hypoglycemia indicates the same conflicts with expressing and receiving sweetness, but the conflict leaves an inner depletion and emptiness.
